10th, June, 2010, Newbury, UK. Following the recent Australian launch roadshow, UK company eShare has secured its first Australian customer, NSW Fire Death and Disability Super Fund, thanks to the efforts of local partner ITM.
eShare has been developed in the UK and now assists nearly 200 UK pension schemes to manage their governance more efficiently and effectively. However good governance is not confined to the UK and the same principles apply globally to the operation of pension arrangements. eShare is deployed in the UK, Netherlands and Australia, and the first South African client is expected soon. Further interest comes from South America.
The first Australian client, NSW Fire Death and Disability Super Fund, was secured by ITM after Chris Matthews, Fund Secretary, presented the benefits of eShare to the Board. The Fund Directors were impressed and are keen to utilise many of its features with almost all eShare modules being deployed ... including eKnowledge, eMeetings, eDecisions, eControls, eAppoint, Business Planner and Trustee Training. Steve Shoreson, Managing Director of ITM says “We intend to train the fund secretarial staff to become experts in eShare, enabling them to provide a quality experience to the Trustee Directors.”
The interest in eShare in Australia builds on success already being enjoyed in The Netherlands, where Montae recently hosted the first user group meeting, and South Africa. There has also been uptake of gShare, the platform for overseeing and ensuring consistent practices for global pension’s arrangements, by a number of multinational organisations. Further interest in eShare comes from Chile and the South American continent.
